Introducing our redesigned mobile app!

Consumer engagement has become an increasingly important aspect of our customers’ business. As consumers rely more and more on their mobile phones to access information, utilities must be able to provide a rich set of applications to improve customer convenience, retention and satisfaction in the devices their customers use most.

Consumer applications have been a central part of EcoFactor’s home energy services platform from the beginning. This month we launched a new version of our mobile application. Consumers participating in a number of utility residential programs where the EcoFactor home energy savings service is deployed such as Reliant e-Sense Ideal Temp and NV Energy mPowered can download the free iOS and Android app by searching “EcoFactor” or “mPowered,” for NV Energy customers, from the Apple App Store Apple-store or on Google Play google-play .

New features and capabilities include:

eco iconSee when the Energy Savings Solution is working for you: An icon appears when EcoFactor energy savings service is activated. The service makes temperature adjustments automatically to maximize energy savings. After the first 30 days of learning how your house heats or cools, this icon will appear periodically indicating our service is active at that moment.

See the money savings earned through saving energy: In month two, information on total savings (since the installation of the thermostat) will begin to show up. A more detailed savings report will be available on the next version of the app.

Control when you want it: The app offers consumers the convenience to remotely control their temperature and fan settings – anytime, anywhere. To save money, you don’t need to worry about remembering to make adjustments. EcoFactor’s continual learning algorithms will save you money and time, automatically!

Set Away feature: For additional energy savings, the app also includes a “Set Away” feature that gives consumers the option to set the thermostat to a single, efficient temperature setting when they leave the house for an extended period of time.
