Gerhard Eschelbeck
CTO of Webroot, Gerhard Eschelbeck is a well-regarded information technology executive with strong operational and strategic experience. As an experienced leader he has launched innovative and successful companies and has built high-performance multi-national teams in the US, Europe and Asia. Over the past decade, he has been transforming traditional security technologies and delivering them as Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions leveraging cloud computing architectures and subscription business models. Gerhard has a passion for creating and championing new technologies and for developing and growing successful organizations and people. He is also a trusted advisor to a number of early stage startup companies.
Widely regarded as one of the foremost experts on network and system security, Gerhard was invited to present his research in information security to the U.S. Congress, and is a frequent speaker at major industry conferences.
He was named one of InfoWorld’s 25 Most Influential CTO’s in 2003 and 2004, and received this honor a third time in 2006. Gerhard is a frequent contributor to the SANS Top 20 expert consensus identifying the most critical security vulnerabilities. Gerhard is also a highly regarded author and is perhaps best known for publishing the “Laws of Vulnerabilities.” He is one of the inventors of the Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) and holds numerous patents in the field of managed network security.
Eschelbeck holds a doctorate and master’s degree in computer science from the University of Linz, Austria.

Andrew Colman
Andy has over 25 years of experience in executive management and finance in the electricity supply and energy efficiency arena, with expertise in product development, sales, marketing and engineering. Currently he is CFO at Scientific Conservation, Inc., a provider of automated continuous commissioning software-as-a-service for the commercial building sector. Andy joined SCI from EnFlex Corp, a leading provider of commercial building energy management software and hardware, where he was CEO and led the company through a major expansion and acquisition by SunEdison LLC. Prior to EnFlex, Andy was at MACH Energy, where he was co-Founder and vice president. He conceived MACH, helped raise venture funding, recruited the founding team, designed core applications and closed key sales. Earlier, he built and led the dominant sales teams for New Energy Ventures, now Constellation New Energy, and for First Pacific Networks, a cable modem pioneer. Andy was an energy strategist with Booz & Company focusing on the financial and utility industries, and started his career as a research engineer at Westinghouse Advanced Reactors Division.
Andy attended the University of Virginia, where he earned a B.S. and an M.E. in Nuclear Engineering plus an M.B.A. from Virginia’s Darden School.

Steve Goldberg
Steve Goldberg is currently an Executive in Residence at Venrock, a leading venture capital firm. Prior to Venrock, he was a Program Director at Trimble Navigation. He also co-founded DataRunway, Inc., a broadband wireless communications company and was President and CEO of Vidient Systems, a manufacturer of video analytics solutions for the physical security market. He was also primarily responsible for the merger of CoWave Networks, as its CEO and first employee, and Advanced Radio Cells, Inc. to form Arcwave in January, 2003. During his tenure at Arcwave the company has raised over $28M from a number of first tier venture capital firms including Mayfield, Venrock, SBV, Lucent, Comcast Interactive Capital and Vulcan Capital. Prior to joining Arcwave, he was Vice President of R&D at Nokia Internet Communications. There, he had overall responsibility for R&D with a $70 million budget and over 275 engineers worldwide. He helped grow their security appliance business from $50 million to over $250 million in 12 months. Prior to this, he was President and CEO of Verticom, Inc. where he built a new management team, streamlined many processes, and helped restart the company. Before that, he was VP & GM of the Wireless Communications Division at Cylink Corporation that was later sold to P-Com for over $60M. The division was profitable and was part of the successful Cylink IPO in February 1996. In addition to the above, he has also held senior management and engineering positions at Applied Signal Technology, Hewlett Packard, and California Microwave.

William Grosso
Bill is the CTO of Live Gamer, a commerce solution for online games, social networks and virtual worlds. Prior to that he was CTO of TwoFish, and of Engage. He has also been a Board member of SD Forum.
Bill has published 2 books and more than 20 journal articles, and is a long-time board member of SDForum. Bill has held various chief architect and executive engineering roles at companies including Engage (acquired by Spark Networks), Echopass, and Hipbone (acquired by Kana). Bill's past also includes a Masters of Mathematics from the University of California at Berkeley. He is the author of the
O’Reilly books Java RMI and Java Enterprise Best Practices.

Jonathan Livingston
With 25 years of success in design and delivery of innovative, high-impact
demand-side management (DSM) programs, Jonathan Livingston has achieved broad recognition as a
thought leader and change agent. Jonathan has guided development and implementation of numerous
record-breaking energy efficiency initiatives, including his leadership of PG&E’s acclaimed Energy
Efficient Emerging Technologies Program from 2003-2007. As VP of Product and Service Innovation at
Ecos Consulting in 2007-2008, Jonathan developed client end-use efficiency solutions ranging from
consumer electronics and LED lighting to zero net energy commercial buildings, based on his deep
understanding of how DSM solutions are funded, commercialized and adopted.
Jonathan founded the biennial Summit on Emerging Technologies in Energy Efficiency (2004) and
created the Investor-Owned Utilities’ Energy Efficiency award for the Clean Tech Open business
competition (2006). He continues his involvement in the Clean Tech Open by serving as a judge and
advisor for the competition. He also sits on the advisory boards for the Environmental Business Cluster
and the California Clean Energy Angel Fund.
Jonathan is a Professional Engineer in Mechanical Engineering, and holds a B.A. in Psycholinguistics from
Yale University and an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University.
