Roy Johnson, CEO
Roy comes to EcoFactor after four years as CEO at Calisolar, Inc., a vertically integrated manufacturer of solar silicon, wafers and high-performance cells. Prior to his time at Calisolar, Johnson was President and CEO of Redline Networks, where he guided the team to an industry leadership position in the Application Front End market, from pre-revenue to a successful acquisition by Juniper Networks for $132 million in May 2005. Previously Johnson also held the post of vice president of marketing and business development at 2Wire and spent 13 years at 3Com Corporation. He holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and an AB in Economics from Dartmouth College.

John Steinberg, EVP of Business Development - Co-founder
Prior to founding EcoFactor, John was Director of Corporate Business Development for Electronics for Imaging, where he had a leadership role in $500M in transactions. He was also founder and President of Bebop Incorporated, and co-founded Involved Professionals Against Cancer, a 501(c)(3) stressing hands-on involvement with pediatric cancer patients at Long Beach Memorial Hospital.
John is a graduate of Stanford Law School, where he was an Associate Editor of the Stanford Law Review. He received his undergraduate degree (with honors) from Oberlin College, where he majored in Economics and Government, and was Phi Beta Kappa.
John has been issued 12 US patents for inventions in such diverse fields as digital photography, networked printing, and various mechanical devices. He has served on the Board of Directors of Long Beach Youth Centers and the Board of Advisors of the Tech Coast Venture Network. John has been a featured speaker at multiple cleantech industry events, including the Behavior Energy and Climate Change Conference.

Scott Hublou, SVP of Products - Co-Founder
Scott is a leading voice in the clean tech and energy industries, through his consumer advocacy in the residential energy efficiency space. He is a frequent speaker on emerging smart grid technologies and the important role that smart homes play in creating a truly efficient energy system. Prior to EcoFactor, Scott was the CEO of The Sapria Design and Technology Group, a product strategy-consulting firm with clients including BlueShield, Oracle, Peoplesoft, SAP, and HP.
Before heading Sapria, Scott was the CEO of Asimba, a SaaS based business intelligence and CRM solution for the online and brick-n-mortar fitness and nutrition industry. Scott has been a regular guest lecturer at both Stanford and the University of California at Berkeley business schools, sharing his knowledge and expertise on innovative business strategy, business intelligence and SaaS platforms.

Abe Yokell
Abe is a Principal at RockPort Capital Partners and helped spearhead the opening of RockPort’s Menlo Park office after spending over three years in RockPort’s Boston office. He has investment and board experience in early through late stage companies in solar, energy efficiency, energy storage, smart grid, transportation, green buildings, wind, lighting, water, and advanced materials. Abe has been with RockPort since 2004 and has been directly involved in over 20 initial investments. In addition to his involvement at EcoFactor, he currently holds board and observer seats at Qnovo, Enphase Energy, Recurve, and Hycrete, and was an observer with Eka Systems. Abe graduated from the University of Pennsylvania where he studied Economics, Chemistry, and Biology.

Nat Goldhaber
Nat is the resident expert on energy conservation and management systems. His focus in these investment areas is built on twenty years of experience in IT as: CEO of Cybergold, founder of Centram Systems West, founding CEO of Kaleida Labs and Vice President of Sun Microsystems. Prior to his business career, Nat served as Special Assistant to Pennsylvania’s Lt. Governor, William Scranton, III. He ran the state’s Energy Agency as its Interim Director. Some past investments include: Ask Jeeves, Shiva and Macromedia.
Nat holds a Master’s degree in Education and is an emeritus member of the Executive Board of the College of Letters and Science at UC Berkeley. He serves on the Advisory Board for the Silicon Valley Association of Startup Entrepreneurs, as a member of the US Secret Service Electronics Crime Taskforce and is a Board Member of the Federation of American Scientists.
Nat lives in Berkeley, California with Marilyn, his wife of 31 years. Their three boys are in college.
